Bonds

Private investing in the bond market has until recently been hindered by the fact that trading bonds required the use of an intermediary. Now, however, Saxo, has pushed the boundaries of digital trading by offering bonds on the same platform as every other asset class. Our SaxoTraderGO platform offers a wide range of the most active and liquid government and corporate bonds – more than 5,000. We support an additional 33,000 bonds offline.

Saxo's strategy team provides expert analysis of global bonds, both government and corporate debt and instruments from emerging markets as well as developed markets. They also keep track of macroeconomic currents and global political developments, all of which have the potential to affect an issuer’s creditworthiness, and hence, the price of their issues.

Bonds – simple IOUs at their most basic – are one of the oldest and most established forms of investing, whereby an entity seeking to raise funds (government, public authority or company), borrows a set amount, for a set duration, from investors. Encompassing both governments and corporations globally, this market is vast and although it is famed for providing investors with the security of a fixed income, it is also highly sensitive to monetary policy changes and the general economic environment.
