  • Get the market rate

As rates are updated daily based on market conditions, you don’t have to wait for adjustments when market rates change.
  • Interest on different currencies

Earn interest that follows the market rate regardless whether your account is in SGD, USD and/or other currencies.
  • Earn higher interest

With no cap on the amount you can earn, you’ll earn more interest the more you deposit, and the higher you upgrade your account plan.
  • No lock-in period

While you wait for the next investment opportunity, your uninvested funds earn interest, with no lock-in whatsover.

How it works

All clients on the Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond account plans will earn interest on your account balance above SGD 5,000 (or equivalent) at a rate varying with your account balance. So the more you deposit, the higher rate you will earn.

You will earn the best rate on your account balance above SGD 100,000 (or equivalent), with no cap on how much you can deposit. With no lock-in, your funds will remain available to withdraw or invest, while earning interest.

You can refer to the calculator at the top of the page to estimate the effective interest rate on your balance depending on your account plan, balance(s) and currency(ies). The higher you upgrade your account plan, the better interest rate you will earn.

Please note that when you trade margin products, your interest is calculated based on your Net Free Equity (NFE) and Account Value which you can read more about here.

Saxo pays interest on uninvested cash for most account plans. With no lock-in period or cap, your rate tracks the market rate, as you prepare to invest.
If you have a negative account balance, you will be charged negative interest based on the market rate, plus a mark-up. If you trade margin products, such interest is calculated based on your Negative Net Free Equity / Account Value.
