Steen Jakobsen first joined Saxo in 2000 and has served as both Chief Economist and Chief Investment Officer since 2009. He focuses on delivering asset allocation strategies and analysis of the overall macroeconomic and political landscape as defined by fundamentals, market sentiment and technical developments in the charts.

With more than 25 years of experience within the fields of trading and investment, Jakobsen is a highly renowned and respected Chief Economist, who regularly appears as a guest host on CNBC and Bloomberg News.  Prior to joining Saxo, he worked with Swiss Bank Corp, Citibank, Chase Manhattan and UBS. He also served as Global Head of Trading, FX and Options at Christiania (now Nordea).

Peter Garnry joined Saxo in 2010 and is Head of Equity Strategy. In 2016, he became responsible for the quantitative strategies team, which focuses on how to apply computer models to financial markets. He develops trading strategies and analyses of the equity markets as well as individual company stocks applying statistics and models.

Althea Spinozzi joined Saxo Bank in 2017, and serves as Fixed Income Strategist. Althea produces Fixed Income research and works directly with clients in order to help them select and trade bonds. Because of her background in leveraged debt, she is particularly focussed on high yield and corporate bonds with attractive risk and return.

Christopher Dembik is Head of Macroeconomic Research at Saxo Bank. He is also member of the Polish economic think tank CASE (Center for Social and Economic Research) and advisor to French MPs.

Christopher Dembik is Head of Macroeconomic Research at Saxo Bank. He is also member of the Polish economic think tank CASE (Center for Social and Economic Research) and advisor to French MPs.

As Head of Macroeconomic Research at Saxo Bank, he delivers analysis of global monetary policies and macroeconomic developments to institutional and high-net-worth retails clients located in Europe and in MENA. He is a regular commentator on economic topics for international media and a frequent speaker at international events, such as the COP22, Krynica Economic Forum, the MENA Investment Congress or the Paris Global Conference.

Dembik’s research concerns the evolution of growth and monetary policy with a strong focus on China’s economic trends. He has developed various models based on the flow of credit, consumer stress and liquidity evolution. Previously, he worked as Economist for Saxo Bank’s Paris office, as analyst for an Israeli financial start-up and for the French Treasury. During the 2017 French presidential campaign, he was member of Emmanuel Macron’s economist team working on European economic issues and the impact of political risk on financial markets.

Dembik holds a master’s degree in international Affairs from Sciences Po Paris and an MBA from the Institute of Economics of Poland’s Academy of Sciences. He is the co-author of The Greatest Contemporary Economic Debates (Ellipses, 2016) and Money: Functions, Monetary Transmission Mechanism and Evolution (Ellipses, 2017).

Redmond Wong is Market Strategist at Saxo Markets Hong Kong. Redmond has a 30-year career in hedge fund, private equity, investment management, institutional sales and proprietary trading. When working as a senior portfolio manager at BNP Paribas Private Bank in Hong Kong, he sat on the bank’s global investment committee as a voting member to set investment strategies and portfolio grids. In more recent years, He managed a multi-strategy hedge fund. The crux of the fund’s strategies included long-short equities and global macro-trading.
