Market Strategist

Charu Chanana joined Saxo in 2022 and is a Market Strategist based in Singapore. She focuses on delivering investment strategies based on global macroeconomic fundamentals and monetary policy analysis, and understanding the impact on a broad range of asset classes. She is also responsible for Asia ex-China coverage at Saxo, particularly looking at Japan and India markets. Charu comes with over 12 years of experience in financial markets, having been in equity research and economist roles previously.

Charu is regularly quoted by the media and appears frequently on Bloomberg TV, CNBC, BBC, Channel News Asia and across Singapore and Hong Kong's business radio channels.

Head of FX Strategy

John Hardy joined Saxo in 2002 and has been Head of FX Strategy since October 2007. John focuses on delivering strategies and analyses in the currency market as defined by fundamentals. changes in macroeconomic themes, and technical developments.

Hardy has won several accolades for his work and was named the most successful 12-month forecaster for 2015 among over 30 of FX Week’s regular contributors.

Ole Hansen joined Saxo in 2008 and has been Head of Commodity Strategy since 2010. Ole focuses on delivering strategies and analyses of the global commodity markets defined by fundamentals, market sentiments and technical developments.


Peter Garnry
Peter Garnry
Head of Equity Strategy

Peter Garnry joined Saxo in 2010 and is head of Equity Strategy. Garnry develops trading strategies and analyses of the equity markets as well as individual company stocks applying statistics and models.

He also contributes to the Saxo Bank Quarterly Outlooks and the annual Outrageous Predictions and is a commentator in media, including CNBC and Bloomberg TV.

Redmond Wong is a Market Strategist based in Hong Kong. As a member of the Strategist Team, Wong is responsible for communicating Saxo’s global investment strategy, generating Hong Kong and mainland China-focused research, and delivering actionable insights across different asset classes and tradable instruments.
