Its primary activities involve testing products and materials, inspecting sites/industrial equipment, and certifying products and systems to ensure global/company standards. Intertek is one of only three TIC companies operating globally across multiple industries. The firm was listed in 2002 following Charterhouse's divestment. It employs over 40,000 people worldwide.
