    No, you do not need an account or sub-account in MYR to trade Malaysian stocks. You can trade Malaysian stocks from any account, except for accounts denominated in ILS. 

    You can trade Malaysian stocks on the Saxo platforms like any other stocks.

    Yes, we accept incoming and outgoing transfers of Bursa Malaysia stocks. Click here to find out how to request for a stock transfer via the platform.

    We do not offer stocks in all companies listed on Bursa Malaysia. The companies we offer are selected based on trading volume and market capitalisation. Measured on market capitalisation, we cover over 90% of the Malaysian stock market. 

    Only clients who fulfil the following criteria may hold an account or sub-account in MYR with us: 

    • clients contracted with Saxo Capital Markets Pte Ltd or Saxo Bank A/S; and 
    • clients holding an onshore MYR bank account in Malaysia.

    Note that funding/withdrawal of MYR to/from the account or sub-account in MYR can only be done via an MYR bank account held under your own name.

    Please refer to our general Funding Instructions. Note that we can only accept MYR from an onshore MYR bank account held in Malaysia under your name. 

    No. All other currencies will be rejected. 

    No. Only MYR transferred from an onshore MYR bank account held in Malaysia can be accepted into your MYR account or sub-account. Funds denominated in another currency cannot be transferred into the account.  

    MYR-denominated accounts and sub-accounts can only be used to trade Malaysian stocks listed on Bursa Malaysia.

    No interest is paid on your MYR deposit. 

    Yes. The stocks in your MYR account or sub-account are not collateralised and will not be affected by margin positions in other accounts.
