About Safran
Safran is a key player in the global commercial and military aerospace propulsion and equipment sectors. The group has three reportable segments: aerospace propulsion (commercial and military aircraft engines and spare parts); aircraft equipment, defense, and aerosystems (diversified business supplying components ranging from landing gear to avionics); and aircraft interiors (seats, cabins, and in-flight entertainment systems). Safran is a partner to the CFM joint venture with GE Aviation, which produces narrow-body engines.


Safran SA (SAF) is a French aerospace and defence group headquartered in Paris, France. Created in 2005 through the merger of Snecma and Sagem, the company designs and manufactures aircraft engines, equipment, and defence technologies.
Its activities cover commercial and military aircraft propulsion, landing gear, wheels and brakes, avionics, and cabin interiors. Safran is also a key supplier of defence systems, optronics, and defence electronics, including navigation, avionics, and tactical drones. A major joint venture with General Electric, CFM International, produces the widely used LEAP and CFM56 aircraft engines.
The company serves airlines, aircraft manufacturers, armed forces, and government agencies worldwide. With a strong focus on research and innovation, Safran is investing in next-generation propulsion, sustainable aviation technologies, and hybrid-electric systems to support the industry's energy transition.
