Summary:  China fails to impress markets with lower rates, Earnings key


Good Morning,

China lowered the key 5 year Mortgage rate by 25 BPS over night but failed to excite markets with the move.

The 10 year yields in the US are the  4,30 and the US500 is trading below the 5k at 4991, US 30 38522 and the US Tech 100 NAS at17652. The GER40 is 17050 and Swiss 20 11395.

The USD Index trades at 104.32 with EURUSD1.0770, GBPUSD 1.2590 and USDJPY 150.38. Bitcoin is off the highs at 51900. Gold and Silver are at 2019 and 22.95.

The Middle east remains a powder keg after Irael attached a weapons storage in Lebanon yesterday and Houthi Rebels attacked and possibly sunk a British vessel.

Today`s focus after the holiday will be on the Wallmart and Home Depot earnings and for traders int eh Loonie the Canadian CPI.

Real attention is on the Nvidia earnings tomorrow after the close with huge expectations in terns of volatility expectations and as indicator for the AI hype in general.
