Saxo pays interest on uninvested cash on most account plans. With no lock-in period or cap on the amount you can earn, your rate tracks the market rate.

The $1 monthly fee on the Bronze plan will be waived if you are invested in SaxoWealthCare or any of our Saxo Select managed portfolios. For the other plans, you earn Saxo Rewards points for funding your account and trading. If you earn the required number of monthly points for the plan you’re on, we will automatically waive your current month’s fee. Learn more about earning points here.
At the end of each month, we bill you based on the number of days you have been on a plan. We deduct the fee from the cash available in your account. If you have earned enough points during the month to have your plan fee waived, you get that month for free. Learn more about earning points here.
When you open a Saxo account, you automatically get the Bronze plan and you can switch to any other plan that better fits your needs. Read the terms of the plan here.

Once you open an account, you can switch plans as often as you like from your account in the platform by following the steps below. 

Go to the My Profile > Account plan and subscriptions > Select the arrow on the Account plan > Change my account plan > Select your new plan > Accept the disclaimer > Submit

Upgrading will take effect immediately, and your fee at the end of the month will be calculated based on the number of days you’ve been on each plan. Downgrading will take effect after the end of current month. For example, if you downgrade your plan on 17 May, the downgrading will take effect on 1 June.

This is a fee we charge for holding stocks, ETFs/ETCs and bonds on your behalf. As a Singapore resident or a Singapore-incorporated entity you don’t pay a custody fee for holding SGX stocks and ETFs. 

Based on the plan you’re on, a set custody fee may apply for holding stock, ETF/ETC or bond positions, as shown in the table above. We calculate your custody fee daily and debit your account on a monthly basis.

You generally pay transaction fees at the time of trade, in the form of a commission or a spread, depending on the instrument. You can see transaction costs on the trade ticket of a specific instrument.
You can use commission credits to cover commission costs when trading all products except FX, FX options, CFD options and CFD indices. 

Depending on the plan you are on, you can get commission credits amounting to a certain value in SGD every calendar month. If you switch plans during one month, you keep your old plan’s credits (if applicable) and get your new plan’s credits as well (if applicable).
