The most bought and sold stocks last week.

Chipmaker and chief AI trade proxy Nvidia retained the crown for the most traded stock but conviction was low with just 50% of trades a buy.

Oracle re-entered the top 10 most traded with clients buying in on weakness with 62% net buys as shares dipped after earnings revealed pressure on margins from its AI bet. Oracle shares showed the biggest week-on-week jump in trading activity among UK clients.

SpaceX, Micron, Alphabet all drew solid interest and were net bought by clients, while Meta was heavily sold with a lowly 18% buy percentage.

Apple attracted 56% of trades as buys after revealing its new foldable iPhone at its annual product launch event. Investors appeared to welcome the update.

Rolls-Royce was the most traded UK stock and had 54% net buys, while BP made the top 20 but was mainly sold (13% buys). Rocket Lab drew 94% buys and just entered the top 20 as shares continued to come under pressure and approached the lows from March and July. Vertiv, a provider of data centre infrastructure and services, drew more client interest than usual.
