Commenting on this series, Simon Ree said: “This was a long and thorough process. I first met Saxo last August, and we’ve taken a thoughtful, deliberate approach to crafting this webinar series ever since. We wanted to be intentional about the content we were creating and, more importantly, about who we were sharing it with. My team and I do not believe in encouraging individuals who are not ready to trade options. We were committed to partnering with a firm that shares our ethos of responsible, high-integrity financial education, and Saxo fit the bill perfectly.”

Mahesh Sethuraman, CEO of Saxo Singapore said
: “Options trading has experienced a boom in recent years, with a large influx of individual traders. Although trading options can be thrilling, it carries significant risks for those who are not well-equipped. Our mission is to provide our clients with access to the full spectrum of global financial markets, but we also have a duty to ensure they can navigate the complexities of options trading with the requisite level of product knowledge and risk management techniques. To support this mission, we are excited to partner with Simon Ree, an expert in options trading, to educate our clients on strategic trading that balances risks and rewards.”

Empowering experts over finfluencers
According to recent research, up to 44% of Singaporeans follow financial influencers for advice, with many reporting increased interest in personal finance due to their content. In late 2024, there was increased scrutiny by regulators and the public on the engagements and activities of financial influencers. By prioritizing partnerships with proven experts like Simon Ree, Saxo is committed to responsibly supporting the financial ecosystem in Singapore through quality and considerate education and marketing efforts.
