Forex Options - An introduction

Level: Beginner / Length: 22 minutes / Pages: 19
In this introduction to you’ll be taken through the basics of trading Forex Options. ‘Options’ may sound like a complicated and complex financial term but in reality they don’t have to be. We’ll introduce you to the key concepts and look at what’s involved.

FX Options can be a useful addition to any investment strategy, whether it’s a simple ‘directional play’ – that simply means a currency pair moving higher or lower - or a large portfolio. FX Options can be used as a direct investment tool for expressing a view in the market, or as a ‘hedging tool’ in conjunction with existing positions. Forex Options could play an important part in your future investments. And please note – whilst Forex Options isn’t a complicated product, if you’re completely new to Forex trading, we recommend that you take our ‘Forex Introduction course’.

In this course you’ll learn about:

  • Trading FX Options
  • Call and Put Options and their uses
  • How to use Options for protection and to limit losses
  • Applying leverage to your positions
  • And show you how trades take place and their potential outcomes.
