If you don’t have a Saxo account, create one and add funds, considering the minimum investment amount required for the portfolio you’re interested in. Then follow these steps:

  1. Open the platform and click the ‘SaxoSelect’ tab
  2. Browse the portfolio options and choose one by clicking “Invest”
  3. Add the amount you’d like to invest and confirm your choices

If you already have a Saxo account, just access the ‘SaxoSelect tab’ in your platform and follow the steps above.

No, you don’t. Once you’ve invested in a managed portfolio, we will automatically create a sub-account dedicated to that portfolio under your existing Saxo account.

There is no minimum investment period and you can exit at any time for free. However, it’s important to remember that our managed portfolios are designed for medium- to long-term investing and only recommend them if you intend to invest for several years.

SaxoSelect provides investors and easy way to invest in various global markets based on the guidance of expert Asset Managers. Managers like Blackrock and Morningstar will provide Saxo with investment recommendation or 'Trade Signals' in the form of specific shares or listed instruments on a particular exchange. SaxoSelect will automatically handle currency conversions during the buy and sell process and the currency conversion charge is currently set at 0.02% (as at February 2023). As an example, if your SaxoSelect funds are in USD and your preferred manager recommends the purchase of an asset on HKEX then SaxoSelect will automatically convert some of your USD to HKD and invest in the instrument (eg. shares) on the HKEX. This investment amount will be subject to a 0.2% fee to cover conversion between USD and HKD.

Investment style
Investing in financial products always involves style. As a general rule, you should only invest in financial products if you understand the styles associated with them. Investing in a portfolio with currency that differs from the base currency of your account carries the style of exposure to changes in the rate of exchange between them.
