Due to regulatory requirements, it is only possible to withdraw funds to a bank account that is linked to your Saxo Bank (Switzerland) account. Since you have been migrated from Strateo, your bank account is not yet set up for withdrawals. The simplest and fastest way to do the setup is to make a small transfer (CHF 10 is enough) from your private bank account to your Saxo account. Please note that the name of the account holder has to be identical on both accounts.

Renewal of your instructions and orders - immediate action suggested

  • Renewal of open orders

    We would like to kindly remind you that pending orders have been cancelled and the details have not been transferred to your new portfolio. This refers in particular to stop-loss, limit orders and similar. Nevertheless, your positions have been transferred as expected and you can re-enter any orders on the Saxo platform with immediate effect. 

  • Corporate Action Elections/Instructions

    As part of the migration from Strateo to Saxo Bank (Schweiz) AG, your instructions on pending corporate actions could not be transferred. This means that instructions already issued to Stratéo for ongoing corporate actions with an instruction deadline after 1 April 2021 could not be transferred. Therefore, when you log in to the platform for the first time, please check the voluntary and mandatory instructions section for corporate actions. If necessary, you may need to re-enter your instruction in the Saxo platform.  

    Please note that the posting of ongoing corporate actions due for booking between April 1 and April 6, 2021 will still be processed by Stratéo. The credits due from these will be forwarded to your Saxo Bank account afterwards. Please check the relevant receipts you receive from Stratéo.

Yes, like any bank and any securities firm in Switzerland, Saxo Bank (Switzerland) Ltd. is required to sign the Self-regulation “Agreement between esisuisse and its members”. This means clients’ deposits are protected up to a maximum of CHF 100,000 per client. Medium-term notes held in the name of the bearer at the issuing bank are also considered deposits. Depositor protection in Switzerland is provided by esisuisse, and the depositor protection system is explained in detail here.

You first need to connect your bank account to your Saxo account. The simplest and fastest way to connect the accounts is to make a small transfer (CHF 10 is enough) from your private bank account to your Saxo account (names must match on both accounts). This will allow you to both deposit and withdraw funds in the future. Follow these instructions to fund your account here.
